I decided to arrange my ladies' hats by fabrics, rather than styles or periods, but if you are searching for a particular style, you may find it useful to use the A-Z list.
Although I love to research historical periods, so many styles can overlap or change within a period (e.g. The Victorian era lasted for over sixty years and saw many changing fashions), therefore it isn't a good idea to compartmentalise styles too strictly. Similar styles may be equally suitable in dollshouses or room settings of different eras. For instance, the bonnets beloved of the Regency period and Jane Austen could just as easily be found in an early Victorian setting; and the wide-brimmed hats worn by late Victorians were also fashionable in Edwardian times. So don't be too constrained by dates!
Please look at and enjoy the following pages of ladies hats and decide for yourselves what is most appropriate for your collection.
Of course I am very happy to discuss any special requests and commissions……..see contact details at the bottom of each page.
